I came to Park West Dental Care for a second opinion as my previous dentist wanted to remove many teeth and put in partials or implants, which is very costly. I was impressed the moment I walked into the office. It was professional and very friendly. I am very thankful to Dr. Jacobson, who was knowledgeable and informed me of other options I could use instead of having my teeth removed. He save me so much money. I was also able to have a “night guard” made at the office within one hour. My previous dentist was more expensive and the procedure to receive the guard was two weeks with two visits. I am RELEAVED from previously worrying about my teeth over the past months and am now happy and grateful to Dr. Jacobson and Park West Dental Care for caring for their patient’s best interest. ~ Lee B

I had a great experience with Park West. I had a filling fall out and they were able to get me in very quickly, they were friendly and efficient, and my new filling feels great! When I felt a slight pain from the drilling I raised my hand and they immediately stopped to let the anesthetic further numb me, and adjusted the suction when I said I was having some cold sensitivity in my other teeth from it. They allowed me to stop several times and rest my jaw when I needed it, and readjusted the bite block for my comfort as needed. They answered my questions and were very helpful in deciding the best course of action for this visit. I'll probably be back, this was one of the best dentist office experiences I've had! ~ Stephanie V

I am always satisfied when I go to see Dr. Drake. The Dental Hygienists are thourough and make sure you leave with next to no tartar on your teeth and Dr. Drake always takes the time to answer any questions you have as far as maintenance of your mouth is concerned. Very professional staff and warm staff, overall. I really feel like Dr. Drake has my best interest at heart as a patient. Let's be real here. Our teeth break down as we age no matter how well we take care of them. But what's great about Dr. Drake is that he has integrity and wants you to get the best mileage as possible out of your teeth. My wife and I trust him. And when something goes wrong with our mouth (it will eventually) we'll know where to go. ~ Jonah

A lot of previous dentist and physicians that I've used in the past seem to not care about seeing right at the time your appointment is scheduled for. Park West is really good about seeing me right when I arrive, even when I arrive early. That means a lot for me. One unique thing about this dental office is the tools that they use to educate their patients about their health. Dr. Jacobson and his dental hygienist both used several videos, as well as pictures of my teeth, to explain what I needed to work on, treatments they recommended, and what I was doing right. I definitely learned something new about what dentists do on my visit! I've been going here for almost 2 years now, and they follow up with questions from previous visits and keep good notes from previous visits to give long-term recommendations. From the very first visit, the staff kept me informed, explained every step, and made sure I felt comfortable with the decisions being made. What could have been overwhelming turned into a smooth journey thanks to their excellent communication and organization. Dr. Aaberg was fantastic—skilled, professional, and reassuring throughout. She and the team worked together seamlessly, and I always felt like I was in good hands. Park West is amazing! The office is beautiful, the people are kind, the work is wonderful. I had a dental emergency at my last dentist a few years ago on a weekend and the doctor was out of town and had no one covering for him. I called around while in extreme pain and even though I wasn't a patient of theirs, I explained my situation and they saw me. That was 5 years ago and I've been a patient ever since. Just recently my husband broke a tooth and had an exposed nerve which is also very painful. This was of course on a Saturday night. We called the office and the on-call Dr got him in first thing on Sunday. Having an on-call Dr for dental emergencies is a must for our family as is Park West Dental! ~ jen n

I have had the opportunity to have been treated by several dentists here in Idaho falls and a number of dentists back east. Dr. Jacobson has put together a team that I have not found before and frankly didn't think existed. Very professional. Courteous. They give you all the time you need to ask questions or share concerns. Dr. Jacobson is one heck of a dentist. Now, many dentists are, but he has passion. And that I think is the difference. Easy to talk with, he truly has your care and health priority one. State of the art equipment sure gives one peace of mind. I hand approximately 8 teeth pulled and elected for the sedation. Best choice I ever made! Before I knew it, I was on my way home! Never felt a thing. Thanks Dr. Jacobson. I have always been afraid of going to the dentist! It’s just like a torture chamber for me! However, the staff and the doctors at Park West Dental have always gone the extra mile to ensure that my dental appointments are as calm and painless as possible! I am one of those patients who has to be calmed down constantly, even for cleanings! At my request, I am given the gas to help make me feel more comfortable! The hygienists are so patient and ensure that I know exactly what is going to happen as they work on my mouth and teeth! I feel so much better going to Park West Dental than any other dentist I’ve ever been to in my life! I trust Dr. Drake and the dental hygienists there implicitly with my care! The staff at the desk have there act together, they are proffessional and sweet. I waited 5 minutes. My cleaning was great she asked me about my comfort brought me a warm blaket and when I said how nervous I was.she gaveme head phones and the tv screen .I felt like a kid so I watched pbs kids . I was comfortable and happy . My dentist Dr. Drake.was great.its been along time since my dentist did the check on my neck ,jaw and back of my throat. I think every dentist should do this . My teeth feel great . I have looked for a long time for the right one .so happy to be here.Also did you hear that fillings that are superficial can be fixed with no shots .yup the uses Lazer.woot! ~ Amelia P

We love Park West Dental Care- the staff and Dentists are great. We especially like Dr. Drake. Our 4 yr old had to have cavities filled twice- we didn't have him floss well enough- and the experience was great both times. Once with the needles and numbing. It didn't even hurt. Best of all, when our son brushes and flosses now he likes us to practice using "Mr. Bumpy" and "Mr. Whistle" just like Dr. Drake did. The second cavity filling they used the laser and it was very fast and it turned out great! Dr Drake also replaced a crown for my husband. Park West doesn't do one-day crowns, only high quality ones! The hygienists and staff are all very knowledgeable and address all our concerns. ~ Garrett S

I am so glad I chose to go with Park West Dental as my dentist. I came from another dentist office and felt like I was constantly in there for the same things on repeat. Once I started going to Park West they took care of my needs and I wasn't going back constantly for the same things. I love that when I recently went in for a check up on a toothache they found a cavity and got it taken care of immediately instead of making a separate appointment since they are "too busy." I'm so happy that I finally found a great dentist! For the first time ever, I'm not terrified of my dentist appointments, & the cleanings are very pleasant! I'm especially thrilled about not having to be numbed before cavity removal now with the laser! I was thrilled by how easy & painless it was, & thrilled that I didn't have to worry about a "fat lip" feeling while waiting for a numbing shot to wear off! It made it so much easier to go back to my regular normal life as soon as I left the office! EDIT 6/11/2019: I still love this place! Park West Dental Care dentists and staff are exceptional! So friendly in welcoming you to the office and making sure you are comfortable. They are always gentle and efficient in completing dental work. They've always been great at detailing any dental work that needs done and giving a quote on how much it would be to fix it. As well as offering other services besides cleanings and fillings - like teeth whitening and night guards. The office is clean and beautiful and you can tell that everyone who works there takes pride in the job they do. I've been going to Park West Dental for several years now after I had a not so great experience at my last dentist (with the mess up of an implant). Dr Jacobson and Dr Drake have both treated me very well. They have taken care of a myriad of issues for me, from an implant, to fillings, and fixing my receding gum line due to over brushing on my part. The staff is always super helpful and friendly. They make me feel welcome and they never hurt my mouth while they are doing cleanings. I would highly recommend the team at Park West Dental to take care of your teeth and your family's teeth. ~ Ryan S

I had tooth pain for a couple days. We’re visiting for the summer and so I had to choose a dentist to look at my tooth. I based my choice on the google reviews. I am so grateful to those who reviewed this practice. Dr. Jacobson was very patient and skilled and took almost 2 hours to care for me, I have a bad infection and had to have a root canal. If I lived in Idaho Fall, this would be my dentist office. Payment options were offered, insurance was filed, I was only charged the balance of the bill my insurance didn’t cover. No surprises. I am absolutely terrified of dentists so when I bit down on a carrot and a shooting pain went up into my jaw, my heart sank. I am in between dentists (my last one scared me and I didn't trust him) and Park West was across the street from my office. They were able to see me within a couple of hours and were super nice! Dr. Drake was so kind and reassuring - my anxiety level instantly decreased to the level of anyone with a toothache. I have now found my new dentist and will be scheduling a cleaning and exam soon! I highly recommend Dr Jacobson at Park West Dental. I brought my daughter into the office for an emergency dental problem. We had never been into this office before but they agreed to treat her even though they were about to close. Dr Jacobson and his medical assistant stayed after hours to help tend to my daughter. He fixed her broken tooth right up and you can hardly tell anything happened to it. She was in a bit of an emotional state but he made her feel comfortable and assured her he could put her smile back to what it was and he did! I have been a patient at Parkwest Dental Care for most of my adult life. Dr Jacobson, and his team of dental hygienists, administrative and front desk associate are professional, patient, gracious, and courteous. The location is easy to find and the entire space is comfortable and clean. As I get older, I find myself less enthusiastic about going to dental appointments, yet his staff makes the trip bearable. Welcoming, knowledgeable, and detail oriented are just some of the words that describe the staff at Park West Dental. I appreciate their perfect balance of being professional and concerned to detail, yet down to earth. I enjoyed the comforting atmosphere and occasional witty humor that put us at ease. Living 50 minutes way, I wanted to find a dental office closer to home. We have a plethora nearby, however, on recommendation, we went to Park West and am grateful we did. Im usually not a fan of going to the dentist in general as I have seen some sketchy ones in the past. It had a been a while since I got my last cleaning because I wasn’t sure who I could go to as I’ve haven’t lived in Idaho Falls very long. With that being said, I was very impressed with Park West Dental for how efficient they were. While I was sitting in the chair I went from one specialist to another fairly quickly and the hygenist, Mirabelle, was very good. It’s nice to finally find a practice here in town that I can trust and see on a regular basis. ~ Stephen P

We are so incredibly happy with our experience with Dr Jacobson and Park West dental! I took my daughter in for a consultation on a lip tie - and Dr. Jacobson was able to do the procedure right away. He was patient, took time to explain things to a worried mom, and was great with my toddler. The office staff is very helpful - they went the extra mile to make sure my toddler was comfortable while waiting for her procedure. After a decade and a half of visiting other dentists while I lived back east, I am glad to be back at Park West Dental again. The quality of the dentists, dental hygienists, and support staff are far superior to those I've encountered elsewhere. I went in for a cleaning, which was very thorough, and Dr. Jacobson spotted several fillings that needed fixing along with a tooth that was starting to crack (eek!). My first visit today and the staff and provider were excellent. Lily, my dental hygienist, was professional, introduced herself and explained everything she was doing or did. She reviewed the results of her exam and answered all questions clearly. Lily was able to address any concerns I had. Dr James Drake was through with his exam and answered questions directly. The office staff was great. They were friendly and kindly checked with my insurance for coverage which I greatly appreciate. I would highly recommend this office. ~ Pamela B
